Matt Ellison speaks at Lafayette High School Career Day

On March 20, 2018, Matt Ellison continued his annual tradition of speaking at Lexington’s Lafayette High School’s "Career Day." Organized by Lafayette’s guidance counselors, sophomores are given the opportunity to select from many different groups of potential career paths, including public service, discrete areas of business, and other groups. Matt spoke to over 60 students in the "Public Interest" section, joined by LFUCG council representative Amanda Mays Bledsoe, Assistant U.S. Attorney Andy Boone, and other representatives of Lexington’s fire, police and corrections sector to share their personal – and in most cases, unconventional – path to their current career of service.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Matt has spoken at Lafayette’s Career Day.
