Johanna F. Ellison is Of Counsel and Manager of the firm’s Worker’s Compensation Group with a focus on representing employers and their insurers in workers’ compensation matters. This includes providing guidance on initial investigation of an injury, advising on claim benefits while the worker recovers from that injury, handling a litigated claim from beginning to end, and assistance after an award of benefits, including future medical issues as they arise. Settlements are also possible at any time along the way.

Workers’ compensation affects nearly all businesses, and as such has a diverse set of clients, covering many industries. Johanna jumped into this area of practice right after receiving her law degree, and never looked back. She is privileged to work with many experienced professionals in the insurance, medical and legal fields. This brings her into contact with countless interesting people across the Commonwealth.

There is no “one size fits all” approach to workers’ compensation. Each worker, employer, and injury is different. The thing she enjoys most is finding the “right” solution in each claim. The challenge of working with all parties to reach a workable resolution is one that takes persistence, creativity, and finesse.. Combined with strong negotiating skills and attention to detail, these strengths produce results for her clients, time and again.
