Johanna F. Ellison
Johanna F. Ellison is Of Counsel in the firm’s Workers’s Compensation and Litigation Law Groups with a focus on representing employers, and their insurers, in workers’ compensation matters of all kinds. She assists companies, and the insurance adjusters who handle their claims, with every aspect of a claim. This may include providing guidance on initial investigation of an injury, advising on claim benefits while the worker recovers from that injury, handling a litigated claim from beginning to end, and assistance after an award of benefits, including with future medical issues as they arise. Settlements are also possible at any time along the way.
She jumped into this area of practice right after receiving her law degree, and never looked back. She is privileged to work with many experienced professionals in the insurance, medical and legal fields. Workers’ compensation affects nearly all businesses, and as such has a diverse set of clients, covering many industries. This brings her into contact with countless interesting people across the Commonwealth.
There is no “one size fits all” approach to workers’ compensation. The thing she enjoys most about doing this for a living is finding the “right” answer to each claim. Each worker, employer, and injury is different. The challenge of working with all parties to reach a workable resolution is one that takes creativity, finesse and persistence. Joined with strong negotiating skills and attention to detail, these strengths help produce results for her clients, time and again.
