Matthew I. Boggs
Matthew I. Boggs is an associate with the firm’s Family Law Group. Matthew completed his undergraduate degree at Eastern Kentucky University where he earned a B.A. in political science and history. There, Matthew competed with EKU’s mock trial team for four years.
Matthew graduated with his law degree from University of Kentucky College of Law (now the J. David Rosenberg College of Law) in May 2019. During law school, Matthew competed on the UK Law Trial Advocacy Board’s National Trial Competition team for two years, helping the team earn back-to-back regional tournament championships to advance to the national competition level where his team placed 3rd in the nation.
Upon graduating from law school, Matthew worked as a staff attorney for family court Judge Hon. Lisa Hart Morgan of the 14th Judicial Circuit servicing Bourbon, Scott, and Woodford counties. Since July of 2020, Matthew has been in private practice with a focus on family law.
Matthew is experienced with various difficult issues and has assisted clients with the often complicated matters involved in prenuptial agreements, dissolution of marriage, child custody, and domestic violence, and other family law matters. Matthew has a delicate touch when discussing these sensitive issues, but he is a zealous advocate for his clients. Above all, Matthew takes pride in assisting clients going through the difficult challenges they face.
